About

Overview

Welcome to thebibleinpictures.com, an artistic project that I have created with the goal of presenting the texts of the Bible in a way that has never been attempted before. The idea behind it is to bring the books, chapters, and verses of the Bible, as well as the people, stories, and places, to life in a diverse and potentially infinite range of styles. The artwork does not merely serve as a naive illustration; it is meant to provoke thought and reflection.

Procedures

To implement this project, I use cutting-edge technology such as AI and CG to generate images that draw on the world’s cross-cultural image memory and connect it with biblical texts and themes. The outcome is a modern perspective on ancient texts with a rich and influential tradition of transmission, reflecting state-of-the-art image processing techniques and an entirely new, AI-driven hermeneutic.

Ambitions

This project is ambitious and vast. With over 31,000 verses in 66 books, the Bible presents an immense work and huge source of inspiration. As a single person working on this project in my spare time, I am using a comprehensive toolbox of expensive digital tools and investing a significant amount of time and financial resources in it. I am not acting on behalf of any organization or person, and all my funding comes from my own sources.
