Luke 2 in three scenes
Caesar Augustus ordered a census and Joseph travels from Galilee to Bethlehem with Mary, his betrothed, who is pregnant. While they are in Bethlehem, Mary gives birth to Jesus and they place him in a manger because there was no room in the inn.
Caesar Augustus issued an order to count all the people in the world and Joseph and Mary, who were engaged, traveled to Bethlehem, the town of David, for the census. While they were there, Mary gave birth to her first son, Jesus, and wrapped him in linen and placed him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn. Shepherds in the fields witnessed an angel and a band of spirits from heaven announcing Jesus' birth and the good news of great joy for all people. When the time for Jesus' circumcision came, he was named Jesus and when the time for Mary's purification according to the law of Moses was completed, they took Jesus to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord and offer a sacrifice. There, they met Simeon and Anna, who recognized Jesus as the savior and gave them blessings.
