Juan de Juanes, The Last Supper, c. 1562
Juanes took the arrangement from Leonardo and changed the moment: Christ lifts up the host. The apostles have their names written in their haloes. Judas has none; he sits in front, in yellow, and hides the purse.
Juan de Juanes was the leading painter of Valencia, and the panel was the centre of the altarpiece of San Esteban there. The chalice on the table is a portrait of the Holy Chalice kept in Valencia Cathedral, venerated as the cup of the Last Supper.

Christ holds up the host and looks at us. In front of him stands the chalice of Valencia.

Judas turns away from the table. The purse is behind his back, and his name, Judas Iscariot, is written on the stool.
